QSL: KASL Newcastle WY 1240

KASL was heard together with other rare Wyoming stations during disturbed conditions a few days ago. Quick response from the Manager today. Wyoming # 20.

QSL: KKPC Pueblo CO 1230

Today's third QSL came from this Colorado Public Radio outlet, and from the same person who confirmed KCFC Boulder CO 1490 seven years ago. KKPC surfaced alone on the frequency during a brief peak in disturbed conditions last weekend. # 50 on 1230.

QSL: KQNM Albuquerque NM 1550

Two Albuquerque, NM QSLs in just a few days, while I spent 40 years to collect the previous four New Mexico veries! KQNM was aquired by Immaculate Heart Radio this summer, and was heard with a good signal 10 days ago. Friendly response today.

QSL: KQNT Spokane WA 590

I've been trying to QSL this many times over the years. KQNT paid a surprise visit to Smøla island this weekend, and I decided to send off a new report to the station. Quick and friendly response! North American AM station # 1200.

After having tested the KiwiSDR a few weeks, I thought it was time to dig a bit deeper. Here is my story.

QSL: KFIZ Fond du Lac WI 1450

I received this on December 8, 2015 but forgot to file it! I heard KFIZ again this morning and thought about sending a follow-up but checked my email first. A good choice.

QSL: KABQ Albuquerque NM 1350

While waiting for conditions to improve, it's always nice to receive a QSL. KABQ was audible a few days last week, and this morning an email from the announcer I heard, Bev Rainey, confirmed my reception.

Although recently heard in Kongsfjord, this QSL came after a follow-up on a 2013 report.

September 16 was a super day for Australia, and I missed probably the best part due to negligence. I did manage to get weak audio from 2CO though, which was confirmed yesterday.

Heard during very disturbed conditions in Kongsfjord on September 22 with a weak but readable signal. Email from the owner today. Steve owns seven stations in Sturgis and neighbour city Angola, Indiana. "Graveyard" station # 250.

I heard KEYS more than a year ago, but had some trouble finding a valid v/s address. But then I found it, and received a rapid response.

"I listened to the audio and immediately recognized Jennifer Narramore's voice on our weather forecast." This was part of the email response from WKRK on my September 20 reception - the best opening towards eastern North America in Kongsfjord so far this season.

QSL: WCPT Willow Springs/Chicago IL 820

Heard on Sep 24 in massive WBAP interference, but I did catch a brief top of the hour ID just when WBAP drew their breath. They have problems with WBAP's night time signal in parts of Chicago as well.
